In my presentation, I'll show the challenges and possible solutions of converting multichannel compositions to binaural audio. I'll present the technical and artistic considerations involved in this process, with a focus on how we can preserve the original artistic intention of the works in headphone versions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jakob Gille began his formal education at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden, where he studied composition and music theory. His passion for sound and experimentation led him to institutions such as the ZKM Karlsruhe and the Darmst\u00e4dter Ferienkurse. There, he worked with the Akusmonium GRM Paris and the Studio f\u00fcr elektronische Musik HfM Dresden respectively. He is the driving force behind Into Sound, an initiative that has organised multiple concerts in Berlin for 3D loudspeaker setups since its inception in 2018. His compositions have been played several times at the Medium Sonorum concert at the Ars Electronica Linz, in \u00dast\u00ed nad Labem in combination with the Ambisonics Summer School 2023, at the Festival Izis in Koper and the Apn\u00e9es Festival in Grenoble. In 2023, he won an honorable mention at ISAC in Pesaro. We have published numerous articles by internationally renowned musicians and audio developers on topics such as 3D audio, music and AI, sound art, and electronic music, .... We offer practical tutorials, book recommendations, and news about open calls, festival dates, podcasts, etc. The 3D AudioSpace of Sounding Future is a new free-access audio streaming platform. It offers a stage for artists worldwide to present their works in high-quality binaural 3D audio, making immersive sound worlds accessible to a global audience \u2013 without the need for special hardware or apps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fr\u00e4nk Zimmer is a media artist, curator, and festival organizer. After training as a communications engineer in Luxembourg, he studied musicology in Graz and Vienna. He uses open-source software and hardware in sound and media installations in both public and art-specific spaces. Zimmer also works as a producer and co-curator for ORF musikprotokoll, a festival for contemporary and experimental music. In the last five years, he has focused on 3D audio and the development of interactive, web-based listening environments.
