On 01 November 2025, WintherStormer, in collaboration with Notam, invites you to the 18th Norwegian analogue synth and synth DIY event! The event runs from 11:00 to 15:00, and anyone interested in analogue synthesizers, both pre-built and self-built, is very welcome. Bring a synth or two (plus headphones) and meet like-minded synth enthusiasts.
Synthtreffet is free and open to all.
Analogue synthesizers had their first heyday in the 1960s and 1970s, with well-known brands such as Moog, ARP, Roland, Oberheim and Korg. The analogue synths were replaced when the digital revolution arrived in the 1980s, but in recent years analogue synthesizers have once again enjoyed a renaissance. Today, many people use, play, build and love analogue synthesizers - and surprisingly so: There are many more manufacturers of analogue synthesizers today than there were in the 60s/70s. This applies to both the large, modular systems, as well as more compact pre-built synths. The Norwegian synth meeting was launched in autumn 2007 and has been held every autumn since.
The programme will be relatively loose and free - the whole purpose of the synth meet-up is to meet other people and instruments, try out the synths, and enjoy the sounds and music. There's free coffee, but if you're planning to stay for a while, feel free to bring your own food.
