From September 25 - 26, 2025 Notam invites you to two evenings with an introduction to Autodesk Fusion.
If you want to learn 3D modelling, Fusion may be the right tool for you. With Fusion you can model your own solutions, and if you have an unusual three-dimensional idea, it can be realized in Fusion. Fusion can be difficult to learn for beginners, and the idea behind this course is to give participants an easy way to start working with Fusion.
Individual guidance will be provided along the way, and if participants have questions and ideas of their own, we can solve this together. The course will also enable you to continue your own studies of Fusion after the course, so that you can become an experienced Fusion user in the long run.

The aim of the course
The goal of the course is to provide a simple overview of the software, so that participants can start producing their own solutions in Fusion after the course. The course does not require any prior knowledge, but basic computer skills are an advantage.
The course provides training in both 3D modelling in Fusion and a general overview of fabrication techniques. Participants gain an understanding of working with three-dimensional models, and this will be useful for people working in, for example, visual arts, sound engineering, music, installations and interaction design.
As an example, you can use Fusion for visual art projects, produce practical solutions, create a simple panel for an electronic musical instrument, or even invent completely new instruments and have them manufactured. This course will serve as a good introduction to the tools you need to get started with this.
After the course, you will have a good foundation for further work and your own studies of Fusion. You will not become a Fusion expert in two evenings, but this course is a good place to start. If it turns out that there is a need for it, Notam will launch a follow-up course as an extension of this course.

About Autodesk Fusion
Autodesk Fusion is a software for so-called Computer Aided Design (CAD). This form of 3D modelling and technical drawing is widely used by engineers but can also be useful for people who work with art, music, sound engineering and design.
Fusion has gradually become one of the most used pieces of software for working with 3D modelling in connection with mechanics, electronics, instrument making and kinetic art, among others. The software makes it possible to build complex mechanical solutions where simpler pieces of software fall short.
There are other similar software solutions, but one of the advantages of Fusion is that it is relatively easy to use while also having advanced functionality. It is widely used, which makes it easy to get help and support if you encounter technical problems. Another advantage is that there is a lot of available documentation and exercises for Fusion online, making it easy to get started without too much experience.
Autodesk Fusion is available in several versions, some of them very expensive, but "Autodesk Fusion for personal use" is free.
