On 23 May 2025, there will be a new live meetup for artists in technology here at Notam! During this meetup there will be a presentation by Rikke Lundgreen.
Where: At Notam - Myrens Verksted 3A
When: 23.05.2025, 19:00 - 21:00
Rikke Lundgreen is an artist and curator of sound-based projects.
As an artist, Lundgreen works with a variety of techniques such as sound, film, drawing and installation. A performance often forms the starting point for the installations. She manages Mika Vainio's studio, archive and collection of records and books, which remained in Oslo, where he lived with Lundgreen. She founded the Museum of Sound project in 2020 together with Tommi Grönlund, artist and founder of Säkhö recordings. Together they have developed sound-based events in Frankfurt (Robert Johnson), Geneva, Barcelona (Sonar festival), Lofoten, Riga (Erika Synths), Berlin and Turku (Sibelius Museum).
This meetup is a forum open to all. We especially encourage women, transgender and non-binary people who are working with technology in their practice to present their work. At these meetups, participants can share their artistic projects and get input from each other. Typically, the meetup consists of a series of talks and presentations organised by different artists.
The Meetup is open to everyone who wants to participate! The event is free and does not require registration.
The host organisation
This meetup is led by composer Mariam Gviniashvili. Mariam Gviniashvili is a sound artist and composer who combines electronics, electroacoustics and 3D sound with visual material, dance and performance to penetrate the physical and emotional essence of sound and space.
