Annika Ostwald/Ida Uvaas – Korp Korp

The children enter a landscape ready to be explored. The abstract landscape they get to visit brings inspiration from Nordic roots. The children meet and discover the landscape with the dancers: two strange characters, similar as twins. They may be people, maybe birds or maybe both? It is through their eyes that the audience will see this world unfold, as they fly through four seasons. A sculptural, three-dimensional installation and several objects can be found in the room. The children are allowed to see, smell, listen, put on and be present in the room together with the dancers.

The performance was played in 2014 during the Children’s World Days in Hammerfest, Short-term dance festival at Inderøy, Ultima Oslo contemporary festival and at Hamar Kulturhus, and toured abroad in 2015 and 2016. Notam made an interactive object used by the dancers: The movement and position of the object in the room is sent to a computer, where it becomes input to live electronics. The development of the interactive object was made by Hans Wilmers and audio engineer Cato Langnes was helping the implementation. Co-producers and partners were Dansearena Nord, Nord-Trøndelag Theater, Dance in Nord-Trøndelag and Notam.
