2017/18: course in Max

The Notam Max course starts this autumn for the 8th time. It provides a thorough review of Max, and the course provides basic training both in programming in Max and understanding digital audio models, enabling participants to produce their own solutions. The course suits people with normal basic knowledge in music technology.

Max is both a programming language and multimedia software. Participants will work with sound and interaction design, which for many is useful in working with sound art, composition, visual arts and interaction. The course consists mainly of exercises, which provide both technical and theoretical specialization. The solutions cover various fields such as signal processing, synthesis, algorithms and user interfaces.

The course provides enough basis for Max to later learn Jitter, an addition to Max that provides the opportunity for thorough graphics and video work, and as Notam soon launches a whole new course.
