The Max Meetup is an online meetup for anyone interested in programming using Max. It is an informal meeting of Max users for sharing ideas, projects, techniques or simply to help each other out. Often, this is the most effective and inspiring and fun way to move forward with any technology and Max is no exception to this. Max is a visual programming environment for creating art, multimedia, sound and music created by the company Cycling 74. It is one of the most popular tools for making all kinds of digital art and has been an industry standard since the 90’s. No matter if you are interested in programming interactive design work, music, sound or visuals, this meetup is for you.

“These meetups are hosted by Bálint Laczkó, a composer and music technologist, who has been an enthusiastic Max user since version 5, happily patching to generate algorithmic compositions and live visuals, to build and decompose sounds, or to spatialize them in speaker systems. He holds Masters degrees in classical and electroacoustic music composition, and currently pursues his PhD research in music technology.”
