Collective brainstorming+ISS

Koka Nikoladze is an intern at Notam in 2014-15, and will be working both with artistic projects and with developing compositional tools for computers, smart phones and tablets – a “Swiss army knife for sound”. Starting in September and for a following full year he will be holding monthly forums and concert presentations at Notam, where anyone interested may come to learn about Nikoladze’s artistic development projects and take part in discussions.

We are happy to announce the first of these events on Monday 29 October. The event is divided into two parts where the first part is an open forum and the second part is a free concert featuring a newly developed instrument.

Forum – Collective brainstorming about “The Missing Tool”
5 – 6:30 p.m.

The first part is dedicated to a short presentation of Nikoladze’s main project in his internship at Notam, The Missing Tool, followed by a collective brainstorming where anyone interested in sound synthesis and composition can contribute with ideas and perhaps bring new ideas home. It is an opportunity to get introduced to and maybe connected to the project.

Konsert – the Infinite Sample Sampler (ISS)
19:00 – 19:40

“The infinite sample sampler” is a keyboard instrument made by Koka Nikoladze as one of his artistic projects at Notam. It is a revolver sampler, which can literally capacitate any amount of samples.

Coffee/tea and snacks will be served on both parts of the double event.
